‘Blown away’ in ‘22 is sinister
Not ‘far-out-blown away’ as of yesteryear
But in your face – hysterical – ‘I told you so,
but you didn’t hear’.
And still the individual
suffers dreadful guilt,
about the vats of detrius we’re sold
and told,
and dutifully do, to recycle too
knowing, had we hadn’t bought it – it might not have caused,
problems for our grandchildren –
even yet unborn –
as if responsibility,
for a pint of milk –
subject to an industry and not now sold in jugs, devolves to bottom feeders and not to those above.
